100 years of Harley Davidson

2003 was the 100 year anniversary of Harley Davidson motorcycles. To celebrate, over 100,000 riders from all over the world travelled to Milwaukee, in the USA. The city where Harley Davidson was born.

4 routes were planned across America with events and parties along the way. I travelled the Southwest route which followed Route 66. It started in Las Vegas and went through, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Oklahoma City, Kansas City and Springfield before ending in Milwaukee. The route covered 9 states and 3 time zones. 2,500 miles.

All 4 routes ended in Milwaukee on 27 August. A 10,000 bike parade through the city was planned and thousands lined the streets to watch and celebrate.

The images shown here are a record of my journey over 2 weeks.
